Insurance + HSA / FSA
Insurance: No. Twin Cities Metabolism does not bill insurance. Most functional medicine work is out-of-pocket — and that’s intentional. Spending the time we do per patient isn’t compatible with insurance reimbursement rates.
HSA / FSA: Most clinical components are typically HSA/FSA eligible. We provide itemized receipts suitable for reimbursement filings.
Frequently asked.
Why no insurance?
Insurance reimbursement rates require patient volume that isn’t compatible with the time we spend per patient. A typical functional medicine workup involves an hour-long Lab Review, custom panels chosen specifically for the case, and a multi-month treatment relationship. That’s not what insurance pays for. We’ve built the practice to give patients the depth they need — and the trade-off is that you pay out-of-pocket.
Can I use HSA / FSA?
Yes, typically for most clinical components — scans, RMR, CMA, lab panels, Lab Review, appointments. Some supplements are also HSA-eligible depending on your plan. We provide itemized receipts.
Do you offer payment plans for the Blueprint?
The Blueprint is paid up front (it covers actual lab costs we incur). The Reset has three payment options including an 8-month split.
What if I can’t afford this?
We can’t make our services free, but we can help you sequence things affordably. Sometimes starting with just an InBody and a free consult — and waiting on the Blueprint until you’re ready — is the right call. We’ll be honest with you about what to start with.
Is The Reset actually six months, or could it be longer?
Six months is the typical structure. Some cases benefit from continuing beyond six months — but that’s a separate engagement, not an extension of the original program.
When will The Pulse launch?
The Pulse is in development as our continuous-monitoring tier. We don’t have a public launch date yet — we’ll announce when it’s ready.
Ready to start?
A free consult is the lowest-friction first step. Or book a scan directly — the InBody, RMR, and CMA are all open to the public.
