How we work

How we work.

Do I need a referral?

No. Twin Cities Metabolism is direct-access for everything we offer — InBody Scan, RMR Test, Comprehensive Assessment, and the Metabolic Blueprint. You can book any of them directly without a referral.

Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance. The clinic operates outside of insurance specifically so we can take the time these cases require. HSA and FSA cards are typically accepted for the clinical components.

Do you prescribe medications?

We do not prescribe medications. We evaluate, identify the upstream drivers, and design clinical protocols that address them. Where medication adjustments are appropriate (especially for thyroid replacement), we work alongside your prescribing physician with our recommendations — we do not write the prescriptions ourselves.

Are you a medical doctor (MD)?

Dr Jared is not an MD. He is a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC), Master of Science in Human Nutrition (MS), Licensed Nutritionist in Minnesota (LN), and Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). His clinical focus has been functional and metabolic medicine since 2007.

What’s the difference between the Comprehensive Assessment and the Metabolic Blueprint?

The Comprehensive Assessment ($195, about 45 minutes) is an InBody Scan plus Breezing Med RMR Test plus a brief analysis with Dr Jared and a 3-page written report. It’s the metabolic snapshot. The Metabolic Blueprint (about $1,250) is the full diagnostic workup — serum chemistry, gut testing (GI-MAP), DUTCH urinary hormone metabolites, plus a one-hour lab review and 4-5 page written clinical report. Most patients start with the Assessment, then move to the Blueprint if the picture warrants it.

Can I just get a single test like InBody or RMR?

Yes. The InBody Scan is $45 (first scan) and is self-service on the InBody Touch tablet. The RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) Test is $145 and runs about 20 minutes on the Breezing Med device. Both are open to the public, no referral required.

How much does the Reset program cost?

The Reset program runs $4,800 to $6,200 over six months, depending on which specific lab panels your case requires. The fee includes the initial Metabolic Blueprint, all clinical visits (weekly for month 1, biweekly for months 2-6), monthly InBody monitoring, periodic RMR retesting, all supplement recommendations and protocol adjustments, and the support apparatus across the program.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. The Reset program offers a 3-payment or 6-payment plan in addition to the pay-in-full option. The Comprehensive Assessment and individual tests are due at the time of service. HSA and FSA cards are typically accepted for clinical components.

Process and timing

Process and timing.

How long until I’ll see results?

Variable, and it depends on the case. Body composition shifts measurable on InBody typically begin in 4-6 weeks. Subjective changes (energy, sleep, mood, digestion) often appear within the first month. RMR improvements typically follow at the 8-12 week mark as the protocol catches up. Patients in the Reset program get monthly InBody tracking specifically to make those changes visible.

What does a Blueprint Review appointment look like?

About 60-90 minutes with Dr Jared. He walks you through every marker on every test, explains what the data means, identifies which drivers are loudest in your case, and outlines the sequenced clinical protocol. You leave with the written report, the supplement protocol, and a clear picture of the next phase.

Are visits online or in-person?

Most clinical visits can be done either way. The initial InBody and RMR tests have to be done in-person at the Roseville clinic (the equipment lives there). The Blueprint review and ongoing clinical visits are typically online via secure video for patients who prefer it.

Where are you located?

1700 Hwy 36 West, Suite 400, Roseville, MN 55113. We’re in the metro area, accessible from St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the surrounding suburbs.

What we work on

What we work on.

What conditions do you actually help with?

Our defined clinical scope: weight loss resistance, metabolic damage, hypothyroidism (including Hashimoto’s), hormone imbalance, insulin resistance and PCOS, perimenopause and menopause, and gut dysfunction (food intolerance, IBS, SIBO, intestinal permeability). If your case is outside this scope, we’ll tell you that on the consult.

I’m already on thyroid medication. Can you still help?

Yes. Many of our thyroid patients are already on medication when they arrive. The Blueprint identifies whether the current medication is dosed correctly (per free T3 and reverse T3, not just TSH), whether there’s a conversion problem still suppressing the active hormone, and whether the autoimmune driver is being addressed. We work alongside your prescribing physician on dose adjustments.

Can you help with a condition you don’t list?

Sometimes. The conditions we list are the ones we go deepest on. If your case overlaps the underlying physiology we work in — metabolic, hormonal, gut, autoimmune — we may still be a fit. The free consultation is the right way to find out.
