What’s in the $195 Comprehensive Assessment
Three measurements, one clinical conversation.
A scan tells you what. A breath test tells you why. A clinician’s analysis tells you what to do. The Comprehensive Assessment bundles all three into a single 45-minute visit — with a detailed digital report you keep (printable on request).
PART 1
InBody Scan
~5 min · standalone $45
What you get: body composition, cellular health, hydration, inflammation marker (phase angle), grip strength, blood pressure, height.
PART 2
RMR Test
~20 min · standalone $145
What you get: your actual resting metabolic rate, measured by Breezing Med breath test — not estimated from a formula.
BUNDLE
Comprehensive Assessment
~45 min · $195
What you walk out with: both tests, plus your clinician’s analysis and a written 3-page report you keep.
THE MATH
$45 + $145 = $190
à la carte, separate visits

What is the Comprehensive Metabolic Assessment?
The Comprehensive Metabolic Assessment is Twin Cities Metabolism’s fastest in-depth read of your metabolism we offer — a 30-45 minute clinical evaluation combining three components: body composition analysis using the InBody 580 bioelectrical impedance device (validated at 98% correlation with DEXA in a Mayo Clinic 2020 study), resting metabolic rate measurement using Breezing Med indirect calorimetry (FDA-cleared and used in clinical settings including the Mayo Clinic), and a brief overview of results with Dr Jared, culminating in a detailed 3-page digital report you keep (uploadable to your chart, printable on request). The full clinical workup with a detailed written treatment plan is the Metabolic Blueprint — this is the in-depth metabolic-rate-and-body-composition read, not the full-case workup. Open to the public — no referral required, no established patient relationship required. Total fee: $195.
What’s included.
Three things. One visit. No fine print.

InBody 580 Body Composition Scan
The clinical gold standard. Muscle, fat, water, segmental analysis. Validated 98% vs DEXA by Mayo Clinic researchers. About 30 seconds on the device.

Breezing Med Resting Metabolic Rate
FDA-cleared indirect calorimetry — the same technology used at Mayo Clinic. Tells us exactly how many calories your body burns at rest. 10 minutes of relaxed breathing.
Brief Overview + Detailed Digital Report
After the tests, Dr Jared briefly walks through your results with you. You also leave with a detailed digital report — designed for a non-clinician to read, with an interpretation of your numbers and direction on what to consider for diet and exercise.
Yes, you walk away with a detailed digital report.
Most body comp scans give you a printout. Ours gives you a designed, interpretive report.
Your Comprehensive Metabolic Assessment report is 3 pages, written for you to actually understand. It includes your InBody numbers — body fat percentage, lean mass, visceral fat, segmental balance — with what they mean and where you sit relative to where you want to be. It includes your RMR number — your metabolic engine speed at rest — with what it tells us about your metabolism today. And it includes a short interpretation from Dr Jared highlighting what stood out and a brief direction on what to consider for diet and exercise based on your numbers. The report is delivered as a digital document you can upload to your chart, and you can print it any time.
Why the bundle is more useful than either test alone.
Body composition tells you what you’re made of. RMR tells you how fast your metabolism is running. Either one alone is a partial picture.
| What you learn | InBody alone | RMR alone | The CMA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Body composition (fat, muscle, water) | ✓ | — | ✓ |
| Resting metabolic rate | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Whether your engine matches your body | — | — | ✓ |
| Brief Dr Jared analysis | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Detailed digital report (interpretive) | — | — | ✓ |
| Cost | $45 | $145 | $195 |
The integrated picture is the point. Knowing your body composition without knowing your metabolic rate is like knowing your car’s weight without knowing its horsepower. The two numbers together tell a story neither one tells alone.
What it’s actually like.
Step by step. About 30 minutes from arrival to walking out with your report.
Arrive at the clinic.
Easy parking. Warm reception. We’re located in Roseville, Minnesota.
InBody Scan (about 30 seconds).
You stand on the device, hold the handles, breathe normally.
RMR test (about 20 minutes).
You sit comfortably and breathe through a single-use mask. No talking, no movement — just relaxed breathing. The Breezing Med reads how much oxygen you’re consuming and calculates your resting metabolic rate.
Clinical analysis.
We sit down, look at your numbers together, and we highlight what’s notable. About 15 minutes.
Your detailed digital report.
Your digital report is ready before you leave — uploadable to your chart, printable on request.

What the CMA shows you — and what it can’t
The Comprehensive Assessment is your measurement layer — real numbers on where your body composition and metabolism stand right now. For many people that’s exactly what they needed, and stopping here is a perfectly good place to be.
But measurement shows what is happening — not always why. If your numbers raise questions, the next step is the Metabolic Blueprint: the root-cause layer that looks deeper at gut, hormones, thyroid, blood sugar, and inflammation — and your CMA findings carry straight into it, so nothing is repeated or wasted.
What patients say.
A new level of mental clarity I didn’t realize was missing.
“Dr Jared and Twin Cities Metabolism came to me highly recommended. I was experiencing sudden weight gain, extremely low energy, and sluggish gut among other things. I could tell my body was out of whack in many ways even though I was doing the ‘right’ things… The first thing I noticed two weeks into the program was a new level of mental clarity I didn’t even realize was missing. It was amazing! After 4 months, I am now feeling more connected to my body, able to tune in to its needs, and I feel healthier than I have in 5 years.”

More answers in a couple months than ever in the traditional doctor’s office.
“Dr Jared is great. If you’ve been struggling and need answers and a Dr. that listens, this is the place for you. I was so sick of the traditional system, I want getting help or answers. I also was really interested in getting a Dutch test, which other dr offices won’t offer and Dr Jared does. Along with other valuable tests. I received more answers/help and progress in a couple months here than ever in the traditional dr office setting.”

He helps you understand how YOUR body works.
“Jared’s knowledge is mind-blowing and he isn’t trying to sell you on any cookie-cutter products or packages or workout routines, he is helping you understand how YOUR body works… A test result may look normal to your normal doctor, but Jared can look at the ranges within the normal ranges and help you understand how YOUR body is working.”

Things people ask before booking.
Do I need to be a patient at TCM?
No. The CMA is open to the public. No referral, no established patient relationship required.
Can I be pregnant or have a pacemaker?
The InBody portion is not safe for patients with implanted electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs, etc.) and is not recommended during pregnancy. If either applies, we’d recommend the RMR alone or starting with a free consult to discuss alternatives.
How should I prepare?
No food, caffeine, or exercise within 4 hours of your visit. No alcohol the day before. No nicotine before the test. Hydrate normally. Wear something comfortable.
Can I do this and then decide later if I want a Blueprint?
Absolutely. The CMA is a complete standalone product. Many patients use it to gather a baseline and don’t pursue deeper testing right away. The Blueprint is always an option if and when you want it.
What if my RMR comes back lower than expected?
That’s actually one of the most useful things we can find. A low RMR has specific, treatable causes — and identifying it is half the work. Dr Jared walks through what your number means and what you’d want to consider.
Can I do this remotely?
No — both tests require in-clinic equipment. The CMA is in-person only.
