About Twin Cities Metabolism

A functional medicine clinic that measures before it acts.

We’re a small, defined-scope practice in Roseville, Minnesota. Our job is to find the upstream causes of metabolic, hormonal, and gut dysfunction — and to walk patients through a sequenced restoration protocol grounded in actual testing.

Open to the public · No referral required · HSA/FSA accepted

Our mission

Better care for patients who got dismissed by “you’re fine.”

Most patients arrive here after years of pushing through symptoms a standard workup couldn’t explain. They’ve been told their thyroid is fine, their hormones are fine, their gut is fine — and yet they don’t feel fine.

Twin Cities Metabolism exists because the conventional system isn’t set up to find what’s actually causing those symptoms. Insurance reimbursement doesn’t pay for the time required. Standard lab panels miss the upstream drivers. The 12-minute appointment can’t hold the complexity of a real metabolic case.

We work outside of insurance specifically so we can take the time the work requires. Comprehensive functional testing. Sequenced protocols. Continuous adjustment. Honest answers, including when the answer is “this isn’t our scope.”

How we work — the four principles

The Metabolic Blueprint Method.

Every patient we see goes through the same four-step clinical method, regardless of which condition brought them in.

PRINCIPLE 1

Measure before we act

Clinical decisions follow the data, not a template. Every protocol is grounded in your specific RMR, body composition, full chemistry, gut function, and hormone metabolite testing.

PRINCIPLE 2

Find the upstream driver

Symptoms are downstream. The actual problem usually lives two or three steps back. We trace the cascade to its source before recommending a single intervention.

PRINCIPLE 3

Sequence in phases

Restoration follows an order: stabilize the foundation, address the loudest driver, layer in the next, monitor and adjust. Stacking everything at once rarely works.

PRINCIPLE 4

Adjust continuously

Bodies respond differently. We monitor InBody, RMR, and lab markers throughout the program and adjust the protocol based on how you actually respond.
